(More customer reviews)I received this unit about a week ago so I must say right off that I've only used some of its functions but I do have first impressions. As a multimeter the combination of a digital display with an "analog" presentation above is quite striking and sort of fun to use. The AC voltage registers almost .5 volts when the leads are not touching anything and I assume this is due to leads that need shielding. The color display has adequate, but just adequate, brightness whether backlit or not. The backlighting is less useful than positioning the meter correctly with respect to the ambient light. The on-off switch on this particular unit often takes several tries to turn it off because of a sticking switch. Also, the banana plugs are a little farther apart than on my Fluke and other units.I only noticed this when I tried to plug in a double banana adaptor and unless you do the same you'll never notice it.
I have yet to use the oscilloscope portion of this instrument.In summary, this unit has features (such as a color display) of machines costing 2 to 3 times as much as this one but I'm sure their quality is also better.And yes, for my uses I am happy with this rather unique machine.
